Czech state attorney proposes five years for communist prosecutor ... would release details on her complaint on Friday. Knoetig only said it also concerned the postponement of the fine payment deadline that expired after Kalousek's decision to reject Brozova's application. Justice Minister Jiri Pospisil has already filed a proposal to start disciplinary proceedings against Brozova over the fine that the tax office imposed on the Supreme Court and that she kept secret from the ministry. Brozova has dismissed all accusations.
She said it was an administrative and less serious mistake within investments in the Supreme Court that did not strip taxpayers of any money. Brozova justified the complaint against the Finance Ministry's decision by the fact that the ministry pardons similar fines in the judiciary in 98 percent of cases. Brozova previously called the Finance Ministry's steps in her case continuing attacks on the judiciary independence. Brozova has also been at odds with President Vaclav Klaus since 2006. Their disputes have already ended up at the Constitutional Court several times. In one case, Brozova complained when Klaus dismissed her from her post saying she does not fulfill her duties well. However, the Constitutional Court ruled in Brozova's favour. Pospisil has also filed a disciplinary complaint against Brozova's husband, lawyer Jaroslav Broz, over his alleged fault when representing his clients in a dispute against the Czech Republic at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
