According to the police, Kudlik and Deputy Local Development Minister Milan Pucek had provided false alibi to Cunek. However, the charges were only brought against Kudlik, while the prosecution of Pucek was stopped in December. The Vsetin town hall still backs Kudlik. Cunek finally left the government after his case was reopened in the autumn. However, the case was definitively closed by Salichov shortly afterwards and the KDU-CSL has pressed for Cunek's return to government.
