Originally, the Czech military was to receive 199 Pandur APCs from the Austrian company Steyr for more than 20 billion crowns. However, the Czech government withdrew from the deal at the end of last year, citing Steyr's failure to fulfil the commitments ensuing from the contract. The Polish army, for instance, uses the carriers produced by Patria in Afghanistan. (USD1=17.537 Czech crowns)
