give his side a boost by being passed fit for Sunday's Africa Cup of final against holders Egypt.

The Indomitable Lions will be aiming to avenge a 4-2 defeat to Egypt in Group C's opening game.

But Egypt coach Hassan Shehata said: "We are champions of Africa now and we hope to still be after the final."

Cameroon will be without defender Andre Bikey whose two-match ban was confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) on Saturday, after he pushed over a medic during the semi-final win over Ghana.

And Shehata is banking on the psychological edge from his side's previous victory over Cameroon leading to another victory.

"Cameroon are a big team, but we've already beaten them in this tournament and that is a good sign for us to produce a good result on Sunday," he said.

"All my players are motivated, they want to keep the title to prove that we are truly the champions of Africa."

But Cameroon midfielder Stephane Mbia said the defeat in Kumasi has helped galvanise his team.

"It's not a question of revenge, we'll do our maximum to win," he said.

"We started slow, but losing to Egypt spurred us on to the final."

Cameroon coach Otto Pfister added: "We've progressed match by match. Perhaps we started badly but we always know how to react."

A win for Egypt will see Shehata join a rare club of coaches that have won back-to-back titles.

The Egyptians are also aiming to add to their record five-title haul after capturing the continental trophy in 1957, 1959, 1986, 1998 and 2006.

Cameroon are four-times winners, celebrating victory in 1984, 1988, 2000 and 2002.
