Iraq seeks end of troop mandate ... Kurdish rebels say they have shot down a Turkish Cobra attack helicopter during clashes in northern Iraq.
Ahmed Danees, head of foreign relations for the Kurdistan Workers' Party, the PKK, made the claim - which has not been independently verified.
"At 6 pm (1500 GMT) yesterday, our fighters shot down a Cobra helicopter," he told Reuters news agency.
Turkey sent its forces across the border into northern Iraq to take on the rebels late on Thursday.
