The migration of foreigners has also contributed to the increase. Last year, 83,900 foreigners came to stay in the Czech Republic, which is almost the same number as in the previous three years combined. According to the Interior Ministry statistics, 392,087 foreigners legally lived in the Czech Republic at the end of 2007. Foreigners thus made up 3.8 percent of the Czech Republic's population. Last year, 104,600 people died in the Czech Republic, which is almost 200 people more than in 2006, the CSU said.
