Vesecka has headed the Supreme State Attorney's Office since September 2005 when the former government of Jiri Paroubek (Social Democrats, CSSD) entrusted her with the post.
As the Supreme State Attorney, Vesecka sharply criticised state attorneys for often allowing themselves to be influenced by the police position on the case while they themselves should supervise the police work on the preparatory criminal proceedings.
