Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas have held an unscheduled meeting in Jerusalem.
An Israeli official said the meeting, which comes ahead of Abbas' visit to Washington next week, was aimed at coordinating ongoing peace efforts.
