18.04.2008 - Two trains collide in Bratislava, some passengers injured
The injured Czechs and other three people were transferred to hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred at 16:21 when a three-carriage shunting train bumped into the back of the EuroCity international fast train on its regular route from Sturovo, west Slovakia to Prague.
The EuroCity train's last carriage derailed.
The strong bump damaged three carriages, Czech Railway spokesman Ondrej Kubala told iDNES.cz server today.
After the accident, the damaged carriages were removed and the passengers from them had to change to the fast train's front carriages.
The EuroCity train left Bratislava for Prague at 17:40 with an 80-minute delay.
The accident did not interrupt the operation at the Bratislava station.

Czech civilian intelligence to be reinforced by 46 new employees ... police are investigating the circumstances of the accident to find out whether it was caused by a human fault or t a technical defect, said police spokesman Jozef Buransky.
He was not able to estimate the damage level yet.
