Prosecutors say that German police have staged a series of raids in an investigation of nine German citizens suspected of trying to win over others to radical Islam.
Munich prosecutors say that 16 properties in six German cities including Bonn, Berlin and Leipzig were raided in a hunt for evidence in the investigation. Prosecutors allege that the nine suspects are German citizens mostly of immigrant origin; and have been active in a criminal organisation since September 2005.
