In Champions League soccer action: Barcelona and Manchester United have played to a scoreless draw in the first leg of their semi-final tie.
The two teams are to face each other in the second leg at Old Trafford next Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bundesliga club Schalke have announced that Fred Rutten will be their next head coach. Schalke introduced the 45-year-old Dutch coach at a press conference in Gelsenkirchen. Rutten, who is currently coach of Dutch club Twente Enschede, is to take charge of Schalke at the end of this season.
