US Iraq envoy plans to step down ... city of Hillah. Medical sources said US air force continued to strike Baghdad's Shiite Sadr City on Saturday, killing 18 people and wounding another 23.
The air raids come as part of a security offensive which the Iraqi government launched on March 25, to clear Sadr City of illegal militants and criminal gangs. Meanwhile the US military said their soldiers killed six suspected terrorists during operations in Baghdad on Friday and Saturday.
