07.05.2008 - Talks on U.S. base to continue dispute Czech opposition's effort
The vote took place at the close of the afternoon debate during which Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek informed the lower house about the talks with Americans.
At the proposal of Petr Tluchor, leader of the ODS deputies, the Chamber of Deputies took Topolanek's report into account.
The government information campaign lasted from May 2007 till last March.
The campaign included the launch of an information server, a brochure and DVDs on the radar base.
The respective treaties on the radar base are to be signed with the USA in July at the latest.
