His party returned to approve a Russian energy deal, which is to include Serbia in the South Stream gas pipeline and give Russia's Gazprom a major stake in Serbian oil firm NIS. Both agreements need parliamentary approval before they can come into force. Voters go to the polls to elect a new parliament on Sunday. The last one fell apart two months ago after most EU countries recognised the unilateral independence of the former Serbian province of Kosovo.
