More than 700,000 Palestinians fled their homes or were expelled during the war that followed Israel's declaration of independence. The 60th anniversary of Palestinian displacement was also being marked with sirens and rallies in the West Bank. The events come on the second day of US President George W Bush's visit to Israel. Bush is currently in the Knesset where he will follow Israeli Orime Minister Ehud Olmert in addressing the Israeli parliament.
