Zimbabwe's MDC opposition party says its leader Morgan Tsvangirai has been stopped by police near Bulawayo and escorted to a police station while campaigning for the run-off election against President Robert Mugabe.
It would be the second police detention of Tsvangirai this week and follows an incident on Thursday when police held five US and two British diplomats for several hours after they had visited victims of political violence north of Harare.
