He said the CSSD was prepared to support such a temporary cabinet for two or three months. Paroubek ruled out the possibility of a big coalition of the two major parties, the CSSD and the Civic Democrats (ODS) of Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek. The centre-right coalition government, including also the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) and the Greens (SZ), recently failed to push some of its plans through parliament as some coalition MPs joined the opposition in votes. All three government parties have been recently tormented by internal disputes. Topolanek said earlier this week he does not consider influential ODS MP Vlastimil Tlusty a member of his party anymore.

Czech Greens confirm Bursik's mandate, criticise info leaks ... ODS MPs who blocked the government-proposed bill on property settlement with Czech churches. He also criticised Topolanek and his cabinet. Greens MPs Vera Jakubkova and Olga Zubova today indicated they might leave their party's deputy group over communication problems. Moreover, both deputies are against the stationing of a U.S. radar base on Czech soil that the government promotes. But Paroubek said he believed the coalition would not end because representatives of all three parties would not be willing to give up their high posts.
