Zimbabwe's authorities have stopped opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai from campaigning for the presidential run-off poll scheduled for 27 June.
The order banning several future rallies came after police briefly detained the MDC leader ahead of a rally in the second-largest city of Bulawayo. Tsvangirai has been detained by police twice in the last three days. Meanwhile the United Nations have called on President Robert Mugabe's government to rescind its order for all non-governmental organisations to suspend their work before the presidential run-off.
