Colombia and Ecuador say they are restoring low level diplomatic ties, three months after a border incident which sparked a regional crisis.
The agreement was brokered by former United States President Jimmy Carter, who was acting as mediator between the two sides. A spokesperson for Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe said Bogota was ready to restore full ties.
