Zimbabwe's authorities have stopped opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai from campaigning for the presidential run-off poll scheduled for June 27.

Mugabe's government to rescind its order for all non-governmental organisations to suspend their work before the presidential run-off. The UN estimates that at least 2 million people could face greater risk of starvation, homelessness and disease if the NGO ban is upheld. The US ambassador to Zimbabwe said the government was trying to become the sole distributor of food to help Mugabe stay in power. Zimbabwe's government said aid groups would only be allowed to resume operations if they pledged not to interfere in politics.
