The government's survival and success of its crucial projects has been enabled by Milos Melcak and Michal Pohanka, two "defectors" from the opposition Social Democratic Party (CSSD). In the past months, however, certain deputies from each of the three government parties have challenged some of the government's key projects. Addressed by CTK, leaders of the five parties in parliament said they do not expect the coalition's current trouble to result in the collapse of the government. They pointed, among other things, to the need of the reforms the government parties had pledged to implement.
