The amendment to the law on conflict of interest the original version of which was drafted by deputies for the opposition Social Democrats (CSSD) is to facilitate the public's access to politicians' property statements.
It exempts judges and state attorneys from the duty to file property statements, but it newly includes other groups of people, including head teachers of elementary and secondary schools.
The new law on conflict of interest took effect in January, but most officials covered by it are to start submitting property statements as from end-June only.
