At the EURO 2008 football championship, host nation Switzerland have been knocked out of the tournament after losing 2-1 to Turkey in their group A match in Basel.
It was Switzerland's second defeat in the group phase of the competition. Meanwhile Portugal have beaten the Czech Republic 3-1 in Geneva and now head the group with six points.
