The US Supreme Court has ruled that detainees held at the US military base at Guantanamo Bay have the right to appeal to federal courts.
The ruling is considered a blow to the administration of President George W. Bush. In the long-awaited decision, the Washington-based court ruled 5-4 in favour of the foreign detainees who had challenged their years-long detention at Guantanamo Bay.
