European Union regulators have launched an investigation into imports of United States bio-fuels, to see if they break international trade rules on subsidies.
In April, European bio-diesel producers asked the EU's executive to impose duties on US imports, claiming they benefited from illegal subsidies of up to 300 dollars per tonne.
