EU tightens rules for lobbyists ... Solana, has presented Iran with a deal to curb its nuclear ambitions.
Solana delivered the proposal to Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki at a meeting in Tehran. The package offers Iran political and trade incentives in return for halting uranium enrichment. Iran's official news agency reports that the country's government has already ruled out any agreement which involves suspending nuclear activities as a precondition. A government spokesperson was reported as saying that Tehran would make its decision on the European offer after examining it precisely. Iran rejected a similar offer in 2006.
