In an interview with the Observer newspaper ahead of his arrival, Bush called on Britain not to set a timetable for its withdrawal from Iraq, arguing against recent speculation that Britain could pull its forces out by the end of the year. Bush and his wife Laura are to meet Queen Elizabeth on Sunday afternoon before attending a dinner with Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Bush's partings with the leaders of Germany, France and Italy this week all saw him win support for pressuring Iran over its nuclear programme.
