Macedonia's electoral commission has confirmed Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski's centre-right coalition as winner in Sunday's parliamentary election rerun.
There was no repeat of the violence which marred voting in the mainly ethnic Albanian electorates two weeks ago. The commission says Gruevski's coalition got 50.4 percent. The main opposition Social Democrats received just over 24 percent, well ahead of the ethnic Albanian DUI party and its rival DPA. The re-run involved around 10 percent of the population.
