Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has told visiting US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Israel will continue building new homes in occupied East Jerusalem.
On Sunday, Rice spoke out against continued Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank, saying it threatened efforts to reach a peace accord. Rice has held talks with Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian prime minister Salam Fayyad, on the final day of her trip to the Middle East.
