Weekend flooding and landslides have killed at least 86 people following heavy rainfall in southwest China.
Local media said more than 45,000 houses have collapsed and another 140,000 have been damaged. Fearing more landslides, officials in Sichuan province have started evacuating the first of some 50,000 residents of Wenchuan, which was the epicentre of the devastating 8.0-magnitude earthquake last month that killed an estimated 70,000 people. Nearly 20,000 are still listed as missing.
