Rokocoko set to miss summer Tests ... July first, is expected to urge Ireland to hold a second referendum on the EU Lisbon treaty once all the other EU nations have ratified the document.
French media reports that both French President Nicolas Sarkozy and former French president Valery Giscard d'Estaing want the ratification process to continue even though Ireland rejected the treaty in a referendum last week. The Lisbon treaty aims to streamline EU decision-making and must be passed unanimously before it can come into force. 8 of the EU's 27 member nations still have to adopt the treaty. EU leaders are to discuss the latest developments at a 2-day summit which starts in Brussels this Thursday.
