At the European football championship Germany has managed a dramatic 3-2 win against Portugal in the tournament's first quarter-final.
Portugal had been considered favourite after Germany's unconvincing performance in its last match against Austria. Germany's opponent in the semis will be decided in Friday's quarter-final between Croatia and Turkey.
