The US military in Afghanistan says four coalition soldiers have been killed and two others severely wounded by what it called an improvised explosive device in the restive southern province of Kandahar.
It has not stated their nationalities, nor give details of the incident. Last week US-led and Afghan forces said they killed dozens of Taliban insurgents near Kandahar following a mass jail break.
