The German news magazine "Focus" says a leading member of the Russian mafia wanted by Spanish authorities has been arrested in Berlin.
There's been no comment from Berlin prosecutors, according to the German news agency DPA. The magazine "Der Spiegel" says the man is wanted by Spain for alleged money laundering and aiding criminal groups. On June 13 Spanish police raided apartments across Spain and arrested 18 suspected associates of the Russian mafia based in St. Petersburg.
