The UN refugee agency says armed men have taken its top representative in Somalia from his home in the capital Mogadishu.
A spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in neighboring Kenya said that the head of the UNHCR office in Mogadishu, who is a Somali national, was abducted by unknown men on Saturday night. Many aid workers have been abducted since al-Qaeda's top operative in the country was killed in a US air strike in May.
