The senior opposition Social Democrats (CSSD) have not joined it since the beginning. The project today released a report, mapping the state of the Czech health care system. "We suppose that the [Health] Ministry's steps did not ensue from this analysis," said Markova, KSCM spokeswoman for health issues and member of the Round Table decision-making team. She added that the Communists feared their further participation in the team would "justify the ministry's anti-social steps." Round table coordinator Ondrej Matl said the Communists' step surprised him since they had not raised any objections to the team's work previously. He added he would keep sending materials from the project to the Communists as well as to the Social Democrats. Matl stressed that the Julinek-initiated project was approved and funded by the government. Julinek, who is an ODS member of the Round Table, said the project was not to solve topical problems of patients' fees and the prepared reforms, but to outline solutions to the system's further functioning. Czech Doctors' Chamber (CLK) head Milan Kubek also criticised Julinek for issuing an analysis, a report on the state, development and outlooks of the Czech health care system, along with making fundamental reform changes. "The report presents facts, not assessments," Julinek noted. He added that all participants in the Round Table had agreed on fundamental goals, that is a high-quality health care accessible for all citizens, but they differ in the ways to reach it. They should find a consensus in the Round Table's second phase, starting now. Its results are to be released at the end of the year, Julinek added.
