Three people have been killed and dozens injured in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The deaths came during protests by thousands of stone-throwing Moslems, demonstrating against the handover of land to a Hindu pilgrimage site. Authorities had transferrred about 40 hectares of forest south of Kashmir's summer capital, Srinigar, to a Hindu trust to erect shelters for pilgrams visiting the sacred Sri Amaranth cave.
