US and South Korea discuss North Korea and trade pact ... North Korea is set to blow up the cooling tower at its Yongbyon nuclear reactor in a symbolic move to show its intention to disarm. The move comes a day after it handed over a long-delayed account of its nuclear programme.
In return, US President George W. Bush has agreed to remove North Korea from a US list of state sponsors of terrorism and issued a proclamation lifting some trade sanctions. North Korea handed over documentation about its nuclear programme on Thursday to China after a six-month delay.
