The foreign ministers from the Group of Eight leading industrialised nations say the results of the first round of Zimbabwe's presidential election must be respected.
The foreign ministers said in a joint statement released at the end of talks in Japan that they could not accept the legitimacy of Zimbabwe's government if it did not reflect the will of the people.
