The 90th birthday of former South African President Nelson Mandela has been marked with a gala concert at London's Hyde Park.

Proceeds from the event are to go to Mandela's global campaign against AIDS. Exactly 46,664 tickets were sold for the concert. That's the number he wore during his 27 years behind bars for opposing South Africa's Apartheid regime. The African liberation hero turns 90 on July 18.
