Hundreds of catering personnel and other staff for German carrier Lufthansa are carrying out warning strikes until 10 am at Frankfurt airport. The service sector union Ver.di said Munich and Nuremberg would also be affected by the action, which aims to win a 9.8 percent pay increase. Lufthansa is currently offering its 60,000 ground and cabin crews an increase of 3.4 percent in pay negotiations.
