Freed Colombian hostage Ingrid Betancourt and members of her family have left the Colombian capital for France.
The 46 year-old who holds joint Colombian-French citizenship will be welcomed by French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris one day after she and 14 other hostages were rescued by Colombian army commandos posing as FARC guerrillas. Before leaving Bogota, the former presidential candidate vowed to work tirelessly for the freedom of some 700 people still believed to be detained by the leftist rebels. Betancourt who was the highest profile captive held by FARC was taken hostage six years ago.
