Georgia demands Russia reversal ... blamed the other for the hostilities. Georgia's South Ossetia and Abkhazia regions broke away from central rule during wars in the 1990's. Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili sees the re-integration of both regions as a top priority in an attempt to join NATO and the European Union.
