Assisted suicide in Germany
I believe everyone has the right to die if he/she so decides. If someone tries to stop you from ending your life it means you are condemned to live and no longer own the right to live. And I am not talking only about very sick people. Even a mentally and physically healthy person should be able to decide about ending his life at a certain moment in time.

Reagan monument in Berlin
The effort to erect a monument to Ronald Reagan in Berlin would just be another step in the political canonization of the former president by the failed neo-conservatives in the US. The Europeans finally solved the problems of the Berlin Wall and Reagan doesn't deserve a monument there. Perhaps one dedicated to the soldiers who stood guard would be more appropriate.

I think that Reagan was a good president but for me it sounds a bit strange to put up a memorial to him in Berlin just because he made a speech there. At the same time I think that they should take down the oversized bust of Marx in Chemnitz. --
