Czech minister apologises for statements on Romanies ... is for the second time at the Karlovy Vary festival festival. He was there in 1990. The Karlovy Vary IFF has been held since 1948. The films compete for the Grand Prize for which the Crystal Globe is awarded. The festival competition will see six world premieres, seven international and one European premiere. The jury is to award with the Crystal Globe three legends of Czechoslovak cinema, directors Juraj Jakubisko, Dusan Hanak and Ivan Passer.
