A suicide car bomber targeting German forces in Afghanistan wounded three schoolgirls on Sunday, but no German troops were injured.
The bomber rammed a car into a German military vehicle near the northern city of Kunduz, wrecking his vehicle and killing himself, as the three girls were passing by. A police official said the girls' injuries were not life-threatening. Germany has some 3,000 troops serving in Afghanistan.
