Thousands of people have taken part in gay pride marches across Europe this Sunday.
Skinheads and right wing groups disrupted marches in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic, which held its first ever gay pride march. Meanwhile at Europe's biggest event in the German city of Cologne, around 20,000 gays and lesbians took part in the Christopher Street Day parade, accompanied by around 60 floats. The event commemorates demonstrations in support of gay rights in the United States in 1969.
