Turkish army says air strikes killed over 150 PKK rebels ... Somali pirates have released one of its vessels and crew following a hijacking in May.
A spokesperson for the Lehmann shipping company said the 15 crew were in good health. The Deutsche Presse Agentur news agency reports that a ransom of 750,000 dollars was paid for their release. The ship was seized off the coast of Somalia on May 30 along with a Turkish vessel, which was released in June. Piracy is rife off the horn of Africa, and the United Nations Security Council recently approved naval incursions into Somali waters to apprehend pirates.
