A total of 272,500 foreigners worked legally in the country as from end-June. The biggest number of foreign workers came from Slovakia.
There was a total of 102,100 of them in the country in the first half of the year. The second strongest group were Ukrainians. A total of 72,162 of them were legally employed in the Czech Republic as from end-June. Poles came third with 22,500 workers. Vietnam becomes a significant source of workforce for the Czech republic. At the end of 2007 some 5400 Vietnamese worked legally in the country.
