Iraqi Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi says he hopes German firms will again take the active part in Iraq that they played in the country in past decades.
Al-Hashimi said that his country was now ready to welcome foreign investment and promised that the Iraqi government would give every assistance to German businesses seeking to come to Iraq.
